Why I Built Apexium Growth: From the Edge of Burnout to Finding Power in Passion and Grit

At just 22 years old, I sat at the edge of a guest room bed in my parents’ house, holding my newborn daughter in one arm and wiping tears with the other. Her big brown eyes blinked up at me. She was trusting, innocent, and perfect. I couldn’t warm her bottle because the power at my place had been shut off. And in that moment, I felt like a failure.
This beautiful little human was planned, deeply loved, and born into a whirlwind. I’d been living on my own since 18, attending college since 16, carving my own path early. But life threw its punches: the dot-com collapse, the aftermath of 9/11, a layoff, a difficult decision to leave school to work full time, and no paid maternity leave. Her arrival, which was premature, via emergency C-section, in the middle of a college semester meant everything was paused.
That night, I made a silent promise: “I’m going to make this work. I’m going to become someone she can be proud of.”

And I did. I turned the lights back on; literally and figuratively. I finished school and earned my MBA (while continuing to work full time). Climbed the ranks. I led teams. I drove outcomes. I had another beautiful child (see picture of my adorable babies just a few weeks after my youngest was born). And through it all, I carried that moment of vulnerability with me and not as weakness, but as my greatest source of strength.
Because resilience isn’t inherited. It’s chosen, moment by moment.
Next Chapter - Building Apexium Growth
Today, I’m building something new - Apexium Growth, a consultancy company designed to help small and scaling firms level up with high-performing teams, consultative sales excellence, and operational discipline (look at that cool new logo!).

But this isn’t just another consulting firm. This is the start of a new chapter and one I own; unbound by the broken logic of the corporate machine. I’ve spent years serving systems that prioritize shareholder returns over human potential, where politics and performative leadership overshadow real innovation and integrity.
And I’m done with that.
I’ve been part of big wins. You know, the kind that proves what’s possible when people are empowered to do their best work. I’ve also had a front-row seat to epic failures where sales dysfunction, weak leadership, and delivery chaos are everywhere. It’s in those moments that I learned the most.
I’ve earned my stripes both in the executive offices and in the battlefield of bad decisions. I’m also earning my PhD in Organizational Leadership, which has afforded me a very deep dive into the research behind what really moves companies forward and what doesn’t.
Who I Serve (and Why)
Apexium Growth is built for ALL leaders who are deeply passionate but need structure, process, and focus to truly scale. Whether you’re struggling with delivery consistency, sales traction, or team alignment, I help you go from chaos to clarity and all without sacrificing who you are.
You don’t need another theory. You need real support from someone who’s walked the walk.
Let’s be real. There are plenty of advisors out there who will sell you a six-figure retainer and leave you with a glossy strategy deck and a few buzzwords to figure out on your own.
That’s not me.
I don’t hand over a roadmap and disappear. I roll up my sleeves and work alongside you. We build the engine together. I embed into your business as if it were my own while helping you design, execute, troubleshoot, and optimize the strategy until the results are real.
When I say partnership, I mean it. When I say performance, I deliver it.
What I Believe
Scaling a business doesn’t require losing your soul.
Cookie-cutter playbooks won’t help you grow; custom strategy and execution will.
Passion is powerful, but process makes it scalable.
Small businesses deserve enterprise-level strategy, tailored to their reality.
Authenticity is your greatest competitive edge.
Apexium Growth isn't just a Business. It's my Belief.
This is my mission. I’m building Apexium for those who dare to build something bigger than themselves. For those whose dreams outpace their systems. For those who care about creating thriving, inclusive workplaces that don’t just scale but scale intentionally.
I’ve stood at the edge of both despair and corporate success. And both shaped me. Now I help others find their edge.
If you're ready to stop guessing, start scaling, and grow from the inside out, let’s talk.
Together, let's grow your business so that it's successful and unapologetically aligned with who you are and where you're going.
